This is a short video documenting my first day of climbing ever, in the High Sierra/Tuolumne Meadows area of California.
In a day I linked up the classic moderates - North Butt of Tenaya, 5.5 (w/ direct finish 5.8) 1,500'. Matthes Crest, South to North Traverse, 5.7 (w/ 5.8 down climbing at the end) 500' and 1mile long. And Cathedral Peak's Southeast Butt, 5.7ish, 700'. Maybe around 10 miles of fast hiking in the mix as well. probly took around 8hrs, on-sight solo...well group solo.
Super good intro to the area! If you have not done it yet GO DO IT!
Video taken with the Gopro HD helmet cam.
