2 May 2011 - Bank Holiday Monday sailing race at Ranelagh Sailing Club.
Beautiful weather conditions - clear sunny day and wind in abundance. Most sailors faked a capsize in order to enjoy the freshness of the Thames.
I had hoped i'd be able to handhold 135mm (270mm on a GH-1). It turned out I really needed some sort of stabilisation. The original footage was all but unusable.
I applied SmoothCam on every single clip, colour corrected and cropped the video vertically. You can still see how much the image moves to keep the action steady.
Shot on GH-1, 720/50, Hexanon 135mm f2.5
