In May the club held a practical night shooting a conversation between two characters.
Before the night of the exercise we learnt about filming techniques such as the 180 degree rule (also known as "not crossing the line"). This video demonstrates how the rule works, and how unsettling it looks when the rule is broken:
This technique is used to great effect in The Lord Of The Rings, where Smeagol and Gollum are cut in this way to accentuate the two differing personalities, despite them being the same character:
