The American Craft Beer Fest is a once a year tasting event in Boston that brings together some of the best breweries from all parts of the country. Local residents were able to taste from near and far as breweries from Boston to Chicago and Cambridge to Portland all shared their unique take on craft beer.
Almost 12,000 attendees participated in three sessions over two days sampling hundreds of styles of beer from 86 breweries providing an incredible opportunity to taste and learn about beer with brewers themselves and with each yearly event, growing in number the new generation of craft beer lovers.
We spoke with the organizers of the annual event, Jason and Todd Alström, who are also the creators of the hugely popular website BeerAdvocate.com about their foray into the education and appreciation of beer and how the fest has come to represent the explosion of craft beer in America.
Many thanks to Jason and Todd, great guys who were quite generous in taking the time to speak with us. For much more information on the American Craft Beer Fest and future Beer Advocate events, visit http://beeradvocate.com/fests and perhaps we'll see you at the next one!
