Amy Gottfried´s class read "Eat, Pray Love" and met with best-selling author Elizabeth Gilbert to discuss writing, techniques and how to be successful in the real world.
Gilbert´s 2006 blockbuster memoir, "Eat, Pray, Love," chronicles her discoveries while travelling around the world following her divorce. As of February 2010 the book had remained on the New York Times Best Seller list for 158 weeks, and Time Magazine named Gilbert as one of the world´s 100 most influential people of 2008. "Eat, Pray, Love" has been translated into more than 30 languages with more than seven million copies sold worldwide. A movie based on the book, starring Julia Roberts, is scheduled to open summer 2010. The sequel, "Committed: A Skeptic makes Peace with Marriage," was released in January 2010.
