This is a five minute preview of "The Way of the Kayak" an upcoming documentary film by writer/director/narrator Richard Poe, produced by his wife and partner Marie Poe. The film explores the director's journey to finding a greater sense of inner peace and connection with nature through kayaking, and more specifically how learning the art of rolling a kayak helped teach him to rise up and overcome fears. The film includes some beautiful POV action photography shot on rivers in Canada and NYC using GoPro cameras. Particularly unique are the shots of the kayak rolls and the resulting underwater perspectives. My contribution was as a consultant and editor to help finalize this documentary spirit quest. Newly re-uploaded as of 7/23/14 including sound mix by Jon R. Smith, who previously did sound work for John Lennon and Yoko Ono, including working on Lennon's last album.
