Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, East Java
This is my last travel destination for the year. Looking back, I'm really grateful that I had the chance to visit more places than I thought I would at the start of the year. I didn't really think much about my travel decisions and it feels like many were quite easy and painless, which is nice. Yes, this means that I didn't save as much but it's definitely something I don't regret.
While I was up there all by myself, I took time to unwind, think and reflect about the past 365 days. Many things have happened, good and bad. The year didn't start out so well for me but things improved as time passes by. They always do somehow and I'm glad.
During the trip, my friend asked why people spend so much effort trekking up a mountain just to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. I guess different people have different reasons. Personally, it simply reminds me that it's good to always keep a candle of hope; that no matter how difficult things get, it's going to be okay. And this is precisely what this trip means to me at a time when it couldn't be more perfect.
Everything will be alright, eventually.
This movie is made up of two short original clips taken from Mount Penanjakan after sunrise. The first is a panorama of Mount Bromo and the second is a view overlooking Cemoro Lawang villages. The morning landscape here washes away your fears and breathes fresh dreams into your tired soul. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching!
