Photographs from this night are being hosted on the most popular aussie music website, TONE DEAF.
Hailing from the windy City of Chicago, Russian Circles have been making their mark on the international underground since 2004. Russian Circles is a three piece instrumental rock/metal band from Chicago. Russian Circles play instrumental, sprawling music which runs the gamut of heavy discordant metal, to soft delicate passages. They are also known for their energetic live shows. Their name is taken from a drill exercise used in the game of ice hockey.
Starting with their self tiled, self released, debut EP in 2004, Russian Circles gave gone onto critical acclaim by recording numerous singles and split releases, not to mention three monumental full length albums, with a fourth due in October 2011. They have shared the road and befriended with every like-minded band you know and love, most notable Boris, whom they’re currently co-headlining a Europe tour with. They’ve even made their mark on the Billboard charts, with their most recent album "Geneva" entering at 24.
They are coming BACK to Melbourne.
Monday 19th at The Cherry Bar in AC/DC Lane!
This will be a special end of tour party that you're all invited to. Come celebrate the end of a long and very awesome first aussie tour for Russian Circles.
