A short piece that was ment to be a test of the Magic Lantern software and it's RAW capabilities. I just wanted to try it out with some tripod shots and nice natural lightning. The result is kind of stunning. I have never seen so crisp and detailed images from my 5D - it has opened a whole new world to DSLR cinematography.
The resolution is 1872 x 796 with an cinematic aspect ratio at 2.35:1.
Problem was that I only had a CF card with 60mb/s, so I could only shoot like 10-15 seconds at a time, before the camera would stop recording, because it couldn't process the large RAW files quickly enough at that resolution.
My workflow was as follows:
Shot with Magic Lantern RAW
Converted with RAWMagic to DNGs
Imported as image sequene in After Effects
Initial grading with Adobe CameraRAW
Exported as Prores 422 (HQ)
Edited and graded in Premiere Pro
Exported to H.264.
