Whether its Gollum in Lord of the Rings, the Dementors from Harry Potter, or the Na'vi from Avatar, there can be no denying that Visual Effects is an extremely integral part of filmmaking that allows stories of any kind or complexity to be told. This, of course, would not be possible without the hardworking efforts of talented VFX artists, a profession that lacks the stability and respect it deserves.

We at Schoolyard FX (the Spring Intern Group at Zoic Studios) became frustrated with the current state of the industry and wanted to spread awareness about the problems facing the world of VFX. We created this short video as an entertaining way to highlight the importance of VFX and to subsequently educate the general public about the state of the industry. Together we can make a difference. Together we can ensure that movie magic remains intact to evolve and thrive for years to come.

RESPECT VISUAL EFFECTS
