There is at least one aspect of Bangkok life which l find absolutely astonishing. It is hidden to a turist eyes and ears, revealed only to those who are willing to listen and to tune in. It's a sound of a secret harmony, voices of Bangkok mornings in a tiny area of Soi Se Yay.
The concerts birds and domestic animals perform evey morning, joined in by new voices at very early hours, at the time when the night begin to turn into the dawn and the sun is about to appear.
Listening to the chorus, one gets the impression that one no longer lives in a 14 million people metropolis but in the most remote countryside, any countryside, where the time has stopped.
I am a lucky man, rewarded by the opportunity to hear again voices l thought l would have never heard again.
I share this wonderful waking up mornings with creatures I no longer call animals but good mood bringing spirits.
That's how it is in the nature of things.
