Amomynus is an animated documentary about a homeless man desperate to hide in a world of shadows. He fondly remebers a better life, his youth spent by the sea with his mum.

Originally due to be filmed in HD, an ethical issue arose when the man the film focuses on decided he no longer wanted to make the film. It was agree by both he and myself that I could use any footage as long as his anonymity was kept.

I decided to Rotoscope the footage that I recorded over a 24 hour period. This was my first venture into any form of animation. I gave the film a rough look rather than make an old fashioned Disney film. This added to the natural theme of the film.

It also allowed a natural flow to occur to the films surreal ending.
