A Film made on a trip to Australia in December 2012/ January 2013.
My first trip to the Southern Hemisphere.
Shot in Short Depth of Field using the Canon 5d MII. Lenses were 50mm 1.4 and 200mm.

This visual journal documents a reaction to the coastal region of Eastern Australia. The close up world with its juxtaposition of focus shifting from foreground to background has a trans-formative power. Sonorous audio takes centre stage drawing attention to events outside the frame.The rhizome integration of disparate elements fusing into the film “Always Vivid Always Vibrant”
The use of headphones is recommended for a fully immersive encounter.

Filmed in Short Depth of Field with the Digital SLR Canon 5D MII using the 50mm f1.4 lens with Vari- ND filter and 300mm zoom lens. Slow-motion footage filmed at 240fps with the Nikon AW100 waterproof Digital Camera. Edited and Colour treatments using Final Cut X.
