Rhossili Down is a 'mountain range' in South Wales, with truly fantastic scenery and views. It is also probably the best site in the UK for slope soaring. Its beach is rated the worlds 10th best in various polls.
This is a chronicle of a day on the down. The weather was variable, ranging from sunshine, with some showers and low flying cloud coming through on occasion, so during the rain i landed, covered up the model a sat it out. Later on the light cast beautiful reflections on the sea.
The Down varies from grassy heather to rocky outcrops, all with fantastic views a lift.
Apologies for some raindrops/mist on the camera at times, it was a bit of a battle keeping the rain off at times.
Wind was 10-12mph, nice and smooth lift. A Slope Soarers paradise!
