You and your collaborators will be able to work on different sequences completely independently, but when working on the same sequence, our hunch is you should be looking at the same thing, and the selection focus is an important aspect of that.
We see real-time collaboration as very conversational. For example, the director might have a certain change in mind, and the easiest way to convey that change is to make it. The editor then understands what the director wants, and sees and even better way to do it, and so the editor makes their change... "How about this instead?" "Yeah, that's even better."
