At dusk each evening over the summer period 1000's of shearwaters fly in from a day's fishing to nest on Griffith's Island (Port Fairy). It is a spectacular sight and one well worth staying up late for. The birds virtually make no sound while in flight but once they land there is some squawking going on while they locate their nest.
So what inspired me to go out at night and film birds? ABC Open's One Small Window project that what!
I have been having fun capturing 30-60 secs of video for the ABC Open One Small Window project.

2. No acting
3. No camera movements - ie. No panning, zooming etc.
