People gather here in the Summer for swimming lessons, BBQ's on the grass, lunchtime picnics, fishing and jetty jumping. There's even a water slide in the middle of the bay.
One reason it's so protected is because due to the town harbour - that blocks most of the swell and waves, so lots of lunchtime swimmers like to come down here for a dip.
We love coming down here on twilight. People are walking, jogging and cycling after work and it just makes you realise how lucky we are to live here. The wind drops and the sky is reflected on the surface of the sea. It's like a mirror. Just beautiful. We love it.
