Helmet cam video made with Contour HD 1080p camera in the "lo" fish-eye setting. The camera isn't aimed right, the lens was dusty and I ran out of battery with hours to go, so the final awesome descent isn't recorded.
This is part 1, the entire thing was too big for vimeo, see also part 2. It is not edited at all. Sorry about that. If you were on the ride, or really bored, or really love riding, you'll watch the whole thing maybe.
Here's the ride description from my garmin track:
"Ginormous Mt. Rose - Armstrong Pass mountain bike ride on the Tahoe Rim Trail, then road to South Lake Tahoe. Fun, beautiful, hard. 9 started, 4 of us finished together, no injuries or mechanicals. Cord, Max, Jeff, Troy, Hyland, Chris, Brian, Linda, me. Cool weather to start, then cold and hail for the second half. Almost bailed at the top of the climb after Heavenly, waiting for Chris & Troy, but glad we continued."
