i develop new stories with experiments that always involve setting up an imaginary situation and using what i know as an actor to explore that situation. most often i start with a verbal monologue on camera. in this case, i already know there will be certain props necessary to the story. so, i am starting the story development by interacting with the props – a very interesting exercise.
This scene may or may not be used in "Passages," which is a myth about a female deity who is a creator archetypes. Most creatives have "block" from time to time - sometimes so intensely that we feel we may never get another new idea. That is what happens to this goddess, whose father is so repulsed, disappointed, and embarrassed that he declares her dead, has her mummified according to the death rites mandated by the gods' religious beliefs, and shut up in a void. This is the scene in which she wakes up.
