Director's cut of my New York Times Op-Doc short 'In Japan, A Portrait of Mistrust'
You can find the shorter cut here:
Is food coming from Fukushima really safe?
Since the nuclear meltdown Japanese citizens are extremely suspicious about their government institutions and what they consider 'safe'. Two years after, the video looks into the fears, confusion and the culture of mistrust in light of the ongoing nuclear crisis and what may or may not be the effects of radiation in food sold all over Japan.
