These last few months we have begun work on a world music film documentary called Persimpatia.

The starting point of project is Ricard Margarit, an unconventional Catalan luthier who challenged and inspired the music world by making violins with up to 16 extra strings. 4 or 5 strings are played as on a standard violin and the rest vibrate “in sympathy”, hence the name of the documentary. Only 4 musicians in the world possess one of these special violins made by Ricard and we’re filming a documentary about their incredible stories.

After a lot of hard work, we’ve finally got everything ready for the crowdfunding stage of the Persimpatia documentary. If you’re interested in supporting the film, you can now make your donation through our designated page on the Verkami funding website. All info. is available in English.
