Self-Taught Filmmaking

This video compares how four different popular lenses render skin-tone. Using the Canon L as a base, we compare the Canon CN-E, the Zeiss CP2, and the new Schneider Xenons. For the most color depth, we opted to shoot16bit linear RAW with the Sony F55. We used daylight-balanced Kino Flos to independently light each subject to a T22 at a 270º shutter. In order to keep the test neutral, we used a light meter to calculate our desired shutter for each T/F stop. We only used shutter angle adjustments to change our exposure, and no ND was used.
