In January of 2013 my quest to hunt down some Northern Lights began high up in the north of Finnland.
While having just one week to accomplish my goal, my fingers were crossed for good (space) weather.
Nearby the shore of the frozen Lake Menesjärvi in Lapland, I stayed at the Hotel Korpikartano (menesjarvi.fi).
The lake offered a great view and was therefore the perfect location to wait for some Auroras.
This movie consists out of over 7000 pictures shot with a Canon 60D + EF-S 10-22 lens and ML Firmeware which worked perfectly even with temperatures as low as -22°C and up to 500 pictures with one battery!
Finally all the waiting paid off by capturing an epic aurora!
