This big lady came across highway 26 west of Togwotee pass in Wyoming. Her two sisters had already crossed and were grubbing away. She surprised us who were shooting her sibs when she popped up and walked across the banking. While it seems we were close, there was a 500mm lens on, with a 2x Teleconverter, with a camera factor of 1.5 magnification... effectively about 1500mm of telephoto. But her huffing and chomping are clear signs of discomfort. And we were probably inside the "zone" when she came forward and across.
Does the bear S#!+ in the woods? Dunno, but I think I did then.
The camera was the reliable Sony FS100, shooting "Flat" and color corrected in Adobe Premier Pro. Some Sharp filter was added.
