Took the new genie by SYRP - syrp.co.nz, to the beach yesterday to do a test time-lapse. I attached it to the Revolve dolly and got it to pull along the beach at low tide. I had hope the sand was going to be more firm but the tide was not that low. The result is that the video is a bit jumpy.
As you see in the video, still a great time to be out anyway. :-)
The genie travelled for 4m taking 1 photo every 2 seconds, probably could have been every second. The camera is a Nikon D200, 20mm f2.8, 1/640s, f/11. Took 900 frames that I then loaded in Lightroom 4.1.
In Lightroom, I cropped to 1920x1080, adjusted a few things like exposure, saturation, clarity, sharpening and straighten the horizon. Then sync all my images and exported to jpeg. The jpegs were then loaded in QT Pro7 to generate the movie and then iMovie to add sound. Pretty quick overall.
