Fuxing Park in Shanghai was built in 1909, in the former French Concession. As a French park it was written at the entrance: "...Chinese and dogs are not allowed..." Nowadays it is a popular public park with open doors. It's like a huge stage, where you can meet different groups of Chinese people. Old and young, rich and poor. The whole park is an art-installation of daily life. All the people are performers, or at least part of the performance.
Shanghai Fashion Week is held in this park twice a year. The current organizer of this event is Shanghai Textile Group, who is in the center of textile and clothing networks in China.
