Traveler's and Filmmaker's

About 100 miles off of Texas a coral garden, lies atop of a salt dome. In 1992, it was designated a National Marine Sanctuary. In 1996, nearby Stetson's Bank was also included. The banks top out at about 65 feet below the surface. This is all open water diving. Usually there is current, supplying nutrients to the corals. But, little to none were present when I was there. We also dove two different oilrigs. Lots of life on these.
