Spaces are like dialogues which mean less before being engaged by their users. They communicate with the users with all senses: seeing, smelling, listening, touching, etc. By using film and animation as a tool, relationships between different spaces are represented and revealed using these senses. The manipulation of camera movement and orientation is the soul throughout the journey of interpretation. In the 21st century - the age of wireless - we constantly inhabit the physical world which is embedded with a cloud of virtual realities. With the help of smartphones, not only do people connect to each other constantly, the spaces where they inhabit are also simultaneously augmented and interweaved with one another. The smartphones become wormholes and the screens are portals. In such metaphor, the shopping environment is at its best to represent multiple portals with its advertising artefacts. The film projects focus on shopping as a social activity, which bridges different genres of spaces - retail, flaneur and socialising - to transport the protagonists into a hybrid ethereal interpretation of the shopping environment.
