The Wild Pacific Trail follows a part of the Pacific coast near Ucluelet. Ucluelet is situated just south of Tofino on Vancouver Island.
Ucluelet has a population of about 1.500 but that number increases heavely duing summer when tourists come to enjoy this piece of heaven. I visited in April 2008. This time of year, the area is very quiet - just the way I like it :)
Ucluelet means 'safe harbour' in the indigenous (Nootka) language.
This part of Vancouver Island is part of the Pacific Rim National Park. To begin with, you'll see part of the Broken Islands Group just south of Ucluelet.
I used my HG10 on my tripod (with only one leg extended). Not always as fluid as one could wish for :)
