This is the highlight reel of the original content we created for a Full Dome dinner theater show called "The Illusionarium."
The show is an immersive theater experience and featured attraction onboard the "Getaway," a 150,000 ton cruise ship built by Norwegian Cruise Lines.
We were tasked with designing, storyboarding, and producing all the video content for the show. With Ryan Uzilevsky acting as director of a small team of VFX artists we produced over 14 minutes of 4k by 4k pixel resolution full dome content displayed on a 35 foot video dome above the audiences heads, as well as 12 large flat screen monitors around the theater. During key moments of the show, such as the intro, the outro and interludes between the live acts, the ceiling dome and flat screens were activated with key story moments and plot twists, moving the audience through the story.
We also engineered and installed the full dome projection and playback system using a proprietary video mapping technique with the support of Pandora's Box media servers. and custom DLP projectors.
