This is a short film of four sons of a small village in rural West Wales who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the First World War.
Three died on the Western Front and have graves, the other has no grave save the sea.
Of the boys of Aberbanc who took the King's shilling, twenty percent never returned to the green fields of Cardiganshire. The usual percentage throughout the UK was 2-3%.
There are twenty-four names on the Memorial in Aberbanc. They range from nineteenth in line to the throne to lowly farm labourers.
One came back from the dead, only to be killed again.
