Winds of Wisconsin

John Aley, UW-Madison professor of trumpet, performs "Rose Variations," composed by Robert Russell Bennett, (1894-1981) with Winds of Wisconsin, a high school wind ensemble. March 7, 2010, Mills Hall, UW-Madison School of Music.

Winds of Wisconsin is composed of a select group of Wisconsin high school wind and percussion instrumentalists who perform traditional and contemporary wind band literature. The program consists of two concerts with five rehearsals each, sectionals, an instrumental masterclass with UW-Madison School of Music faculty, and additional topics presented by the music education faculty.
