The Young Filmmakers Group

ABOUT THIS VIDEO: This is a video inspired by Philip Blooms 10 minute challenge. I was his intern during his Vancouver, Canada workshops. While I was in downtown Vancouver I thought I would do a similar video to his 10 minute challenge that he did with a Sony PMW-200, see his video here:
I did not have my tripod with me, nor did I have a camera with zoom like the Sony PMW-200 so I decided to change the rules and do my own version of the challenge so that I could do some shooting !
My rules were, 10 minutes to film anything in one general area (the Quayside harbour in Yaletown/downtown Vancouver) and I could run around in that general area collecting any shots, and just to get as many as possible, then making something with the footage in editing. This is what I came up with ! I was using a Canon 7D with a Canon 16-35mm 2.8L lens, and I added in music and foley from all in post, as well as grading and you will notice some stabilization on a few clips. It was cold out, and I had to be very quick!

Anyway! I hope you enjoyed the video, and that you will share it around! Filmmaking is more then a hobby to me, it is my life! I love every aspect of film production! If you want to see proof, go check out and follow me at the links below!
