Hallvarður Ásgeirsson is a composer working on the boarders of avant classical composition, electronic music, guitar soundscapes and poetry. He has written 3 works with choreographer Saga Sigurðardóttir, Scape of Grace, Predator and a show performed by the Icelandic Dance Company entitled 'HulA'.
Predator is a choir piece influenced by medieval music. Scape of Grace is a study of sound and choreography for 5 dancers, 5 amplifiers and cabinets.
Hallvarður has an M.Mus degree in composition from Brooklyn College and a BA in composition/new media from Art Academy of Iceland.
Hallvarður has written the pieces Miniature#3, Miniature#9 for piano and Toccata and Scherzo for toy piano for pianist Tinna Þorsteinsdóttir.
