Elena Salas, was born in Madrid (Spain) in the summer of 1982. At the early age of seven she moved to the Andalusian capital, Seville. Her passion for the arts, film and the story opens the door to what became her true calling: storytelling.
After completing her school years, she entered the university in 2000, graduating four years later in Communication Sciences. Over the years, created together with her colleagues and friends, FCT La Productora where she developed her shortfilms "Stories of Thought" (2001) and "Ace of Hearts" (2005).
Aware of technological returns to Madrid to do a Master 3D Animation at school TRAZOS, while beginning to work at tv companies. Over the years, gaining experience in managing human and technical resources and great interest in all areas of the audiovisual process, especially in the visual part of the project.
Continue forming doing different courses of specialization within the sector. She worked at companies like MEDIAPRO (MediaNews), EUROPROGRAMMES, ATRIUM DIGITAL and VIRGEN MACARENA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL.
In 2010 she decided to move to New York where she starts working as freelance while studing at New York University (NYU). There she collaborates and works on various projects for the New York Film Academy (NYFA). Among the most prominent, the shortfilm "The Revenge of the Egg" selected in the 2011 Gotham Screen International Film Festival, the advertising spot "TAG-morphosis" won first prize for the contest of TAG-Heuer, "12:26 - 12:31" selected for the Short Film Corner in Cannes Film Festival, 2012 and "Alive & Well" officially selected at East Coast Student Film Festival 2012, George Washington University (Washington DC), 2012.
Currently, Elena continues to do work for various companies as well as collaborating on various projects advertising, television and film, at the same time she extensive knowledge in the field of VFX in Barcelona.
