French-Lebanese, born in Lebanon in 1978. Holder of a Masters in audiovisual and filmmaking from ALBA (Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts).
His diploma short film was featured in several national and international film festivals (including Italy and Tunisia). He was the winner of the “Best Sound” in Deir el Qamar Film Festival in 2002.
In November 2002, he was part of the jury in the International MedFilm Festival in Rome, Italy.
Since 2002, he has been working in the advertisement field, first as a Second Unit Director with many known directors such as Florent-Emilio Siri (Hostage, L’ennemi intime), Jan De Bont (Twister, Lara Croft, Speed), Pascal Dash and Diamentino Ferriera; and now as a Director for advertisements. In 2011, the BPG campaign, which ad was directed by him, won the Silver Lion in Cannes, France.
In 2013, his Annahar ad won the Grand Jury Prize in the Mena Cristal Awards as well as the gold medals for the best film and best sound. This same ad won a silver medal at the Dubaï Lynx Festival in 2013.
Many of his commercials were also shortlisted in the Dubaï Lynx Festival in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
He won 4 out of the 10 best commercials in Lebanon for 2013, #1, 3, 6 & 8 (Communicate Levant Magazine).
Jad is also a musician (drummer), being the founder, songwriter and drummer of ‘blend’, the first middle-eastern rock band to be signed on a major, EMI. His collaboration as a songwriter and session musician includes the Lebanese folk artist, Tania Saleh, and the Armenian folk artist Eileen Khatchadourian (award-winning rock album in Los Angeles in 2009 ‘Midan’).
