I attended Parsons School of Design and graduated with a B.F.A. in illustration. Some of the prominent industry clients and companies he's worked with, include - Sesame Street, Michael Sporn, Brett Morgen, David Levy, Mo Willems, Robert Smigel, HBO, MTV, Adult Swim, Disney Channel, PBS Kids, Children's Television Workshop, Nickelodeon, UNICEF and Scholastic Entertainment.

While working at Michael Sporn Animation in the 1990's, he wore many different hats - storyboard artist, character designer, background painter, layout artist and art director. This allowed him to become versatile in all aspects of animation production. As Art Director of the animated documentary Champagne, he was able to take his skill set to another level. He used the main character's sit-down interview to establish the look and feel of the film, visualizing Champagne's hopes and dreams. Jason has done pre-production design and storyboards for Michael Sporn's animated feature POE.

Television series that he's worked on include: Disney's Doug, Daria for MTV, Sheep in the Big City for Cartoon Network, Cliffords Puppy Days for Scholastic, Wonder Pets for Nickelodeon and Assy McGee and Stroker & Hoop for Adult Swim. In 2006, he designed backgrounds for the documentary Chicago 10 which opened the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. Jason designed Flash elements for Sesame Street English, a learning program to teach children English. He also works with iOS Developer, Craig Howarth on iPhone/iPad app designs and games.

His web comic, My Living Dead Girl has over 2,000+ visitors a month.

His other daily web comic, Live From Limbo will be availble in book form in the fall of 2013.

He lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife, film editor Dena Mermelstein, and their son, Hugo.
