Jean-Julien Pous is a French filmmaker who explores animation combined with live-action. He is born and lived in China; his short films are embracing both Chinese and French culture. They evoque existentialism, sensuality and sometimes absurd humor. He received 5 awards, including Rotterdam Film Festival, for his short films Switch (2007) and Seeking You (2008). He directed commercial films for Chanel, Lenovo, Millet, the Spanish Tourism Board, and an interactive film for the Museum of History of Wuxi, China. He lives now in Seoul, giving lectures at the Kookmin University. He made his first solo and various group exhibitions this year between Seoul and Hong Kong.
