Since 1985, INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation has been the facility of choice for thousands of patients with physical rehabilitation needs. INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation is Oklahoma’s foremost system of acute, inpatient and outpatient community-based rehabilitative care for children and adults with acquired brain injury (traumatic brain injury, stroke and brain tumors), spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disorders, amputee and orthopedic conditions. Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation is also now home to the region’s first Gait Restoration Center, featuring the Ekso Bionic Suit™ and Lokomat® technology, which allows patients with spinal cord injuries the ability to stand and walk again.
Approximately 2000 patients from across Oklahoma and more than 50 from across the nation choose INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe annually for the quality of services and the specialty programs offered. Some of these specialty programs include aquatics, community outings, horticulture, music therapy, pet assisted therapy, a specialized seating and positioning clinic, and support groups. Through our outpatient clinics, we also offer the new SPEAK OUT!® Oklahoma speech therapy program and PWR Up! Physical therapy programs for patients with Parkinon’s Disease . These programs dramatically improve speech and motor function, and increase longevity and quality of life.
From the acute hospital to inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient rehabilitation, our competent staff of physicians, nurses and therapists are committed to provide quality programs and services across the continuum of care. As a demonstration of its commitment to quality, INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe maintains its certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. This certification shows our conformity to nationally and internationally recognized service standards and our focus to deliver the highest standard of service and quality. INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe is also recognized by CARF as a stroke specialty program. This indicates our programs and services “foster an integrated system of care that optimizes prevention, recovery, adaptation and participation for individuals and their families/support systems.”
The INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation facility is located in a beautiful three-story facility located on the campus of INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center. Two additional units are located on the campus of INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center. Across the state, Jim Thorpe units are also located in INTEGRIS Clinton Regional Hospital and Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton. Outpatient services are available at five locations throughout the Oklahoma City metro area.
