I make multi screen and mixed media installations often using asynchronous video loops or glass and black / semi silvered mirrors to create fragmented 'stories' based on archival research and location filming. I often make pieces about journeys and have a particular interest in shorelines and liminal spaces/identities. As artist in residence at the National Maritime Museum in 2005-6 I sailed to Canada and made work about the Home children sent there from England in the 19th century and the boy sailors who worked alongside them. Recent work was inspired by particular journeys to Iceland and Shetland in the 19th and 20th century.
