Jason Michael Aragón has been involved in production as videographer and editor for over a decade. He graduated from the University of Arizona Media Arts program and went into local television, where he became a studio and technical director. In 2004, he joined the video collective, Pan Left productions. At Pan Left he has produced independent videos, and also designed and taught workshops in pre-production, production and editing.
His 2006 short documentary PRESENTE was a finalist in the Arizona International Film Festival and his 2008 short Palestine En Solidaridad was accepted into SXSWclick Fest and the AFI Film Festival. AragÃ³n was awarded the NALAC artist award in 2010 and a co-grantee of the 2011 MAP fund. His feature length documentary is in post-production and set to be screened in 2012.
He continues to produce videos that capture the life and culture along the border region.
