John Henion is a LA-based documentary filmmaker. Most of his work has been in the realm of documentary television and investigative journalism. He is the creator and co-executive producer of The Pecos League, a docuseries on Fox Sports 1 about minor league baseball.
John has also produced a range of television, web and branded entertainment content for clients including Fox’s X Factor, Subway and Schick razors.
From 2009 to 2012 John produced hour-long episodes of Current TV’s award-winning investigative documentary series, Vanguard. As part of the Vanguard team he produced, directed and shot a half a dozen episodes and received the 2010 Livingston Award for Young Journalists – the largest all-media, general-reporting prizes in the country – for producing the episode, Rape on the Reservation. He and his team were also recognized and nominated for a 2012 Genesis Award for their investigation into the illegal Tiger Trade in China.
In his spare time John really enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
