Jonothon Lyons is an interdisciplinary theater artist living in New York City. Most recently he worked at the Metropolitan Opera as an alternate puppeteer in Anthony Minghella’s production of Madama Butterfly and last year he performed as a Blueman with Blue Man Group in New York and Las Vegas. In 2010 he was a puppteer on the title character in Moisés Kaufman’s El Gato con Botas and Basil Twist’s Petrushka. He was a performing company member with Imago Theatre in Portland, Oregon from 2006 to 2010 and has toured internationally with Imago’s signature mask theater shows Frogz, Biglittlethings, and ZooZoo. In 2009 he collaborated with projection designer Daniel Brodie on an original work titled The Tenement at HERE Arts Center. The Tenement was nominated for eight 2010 NY Innovative Theatre Awards including Outstanding Production of a Play and Jonothon won the award for Outstanding Original Short Script.
