Kaitlyn Pietras is an American scenic and projection designer who is dedicated to exploiting and merging the mediums of theatre, architecture, and film into her work.
Kaitlyn recently made her operatic debut with her scenic and properties design for "L'incoronazione di Poppea", directed by James Darrah. She has also designed scenery and projections for "The Clean House", directed by April Shawhan, and "Rent" directed by Joe Olivieri. Other projects include a projection and shadow puppet design for "Tall Tales: The Myths of Magical Trees", directed by Perry Daniel at the Geffen Playhouse; scenic design for "Pains of Youth" directed by Conor Hanratty; and "Przejscie", a film directed, designed, and edited by Kaitlyn.
She holds a MFA in Design for Theatre + Entertainment Media from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
Kaitlyn currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
