I am an electronic media professional with diverse on-location and studio production experience as an instructor, producer, director, editor, and videographer. My significant strengths include an enthusiasm for tackling difficult assignments and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to create quality media products, using a variety of production equipment and software. My objectives include employment in an organization which focuses on the creation of visual media.
In May 2013 I received a Master of Arts in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts with a concentration in Electronic Media Management from Central Michigan University. The combination of this degree with my Bachelor of Science in Television and Digital Media Production has provided me with a well-rounded formal electronic media education.
I have had more than two years of professional work experience as a videographer, post-production editor, and instructor. While at CMU I have been a video production graduate teaching assistant responsible for organizing, managing, and instructing students in all aspects of sports video production; the results have been four Michigan Association of Broadcasters’ College Television Awards in the categories of sports play-by-play and talk show.
I have created digital imaging for Country Music Television and was recognized as a motion graphics editor and full editor for the weekly nationwide cable television program CMT Insider. In addition, I have worked independently and as part of a team performing all phases of studio and on-location production for a number of colleges, public schools, and community organizations. My experience spans a broad spectrum of topics associated with country music entertainment, sports, special events, community service, performing arts, physical fitness, education, experiential learning, culinary arts, press conferences, politics, and documentaries.
