Katrina Albright is a brooklyn-based writer and director. She graduated with honors in 2008 from NYU, with a BFA in Film and TV. Her narrative and documentary films have screened at festivals and programs nationwide, including LES Summer Arts Festival at the Theater for the New City, Anthology New Filmmaker series, Abrons Art Center, and Brooklyn’s The Shed. In 2010 she produced and co-directed, “The Fashion Show,” a documentary which screened at Recession Art’s Emerging Filmmakers Series in NYC.
Katrina was a 2011 top-ten finalist for Cinereach’s Reach Film Fellowship for her documentary “Signs Following,” co-directed with visual artist Jonathan Durham and currently in post-production. In 2012, Katrina’s script “Ethan and Ian” won Second Place Short in the Slamdance Screenwriting and Teleplay Competition. Katrina directed that film in 2013 (production title “Ethan and Eli,” Honorable Mention, "Short Grit" Award, Indie Grits Film Festival 2014.) She is currently working on two feature-length scripts.
