Kelly Stuart is a playwright and videographer living in New York. Her videos deal with a range of subjects. For the past few years she has been documenting Kurdish life in Anatolia: music, culture and human rights issues. In New York she has documented the work of several musicians as well as creating a series of more eclectic videos about life in the city. Her plays have been produced in New York at Playwrights Horizons, the Culture Project Downstairs, the Summer Play Festival, and the Fringe Festival; in Los Angeles at The Evidence Room, The Padua Hills Playwrights Festival, and the Mark Taper Forum. In the UK at Theatre 503 in London , and Manchester's Royal Exchange. In Romania at Teatrul Ariel in Tirgu Mures and Teatrul Odeon in Bucharest. Other work has been performed at Berlin's Schaubuhne's International Festival, as well as the Tokyo International Arts Festival. Publications include DEMONOLOGY at Green Integer Press, MAYHEM as part of 7 MORE DIFFERENT PLAYS edited by Mac Wellman (Broadway Play Publishing), and SHADOW LANGUAGE published by Oberon Books.
