King Duce is Music. Lifestyle. Apparel.
King Duce is a record label and a lifestyle clothing brand founded by Chris Rockwell and named in honor of his best friend and early supporter, Kevin "Duce" Kimble, who was tragically gunned down.
Devastated and driven by the loss, Rockwell marched on and signed a record deal with famous Oakland rapper, Keak da Sneak and assembled a crew of promising young rap artists, like Duce’s cousin G Will and Lace Leno. The beginning of the King Duce movement was born.
Rockwell continued branching out by recruiting other established and emerging artists in rap, rock and reggae, including reggae royalty like Jr Toots, son of Toots & the Maytals; a host of metal bands; and world class visual artists like Andy Howell, Chor Boogie and Jim Mahfood.
King Duce Records is currently finishing up production on a host of music videos and kicking off U.S. concerts. Along with a premium hat and apparel line, King Duce sponsors pro athletes in Skate, Motocross, Snowboarding, BMX, Wakeboarding and MMA.
The King Duce movement is quickly building a passionate family around the globe who share a passion for our music, independent attitude and way of life. We honor the memories of our fallen family and friends by living today like it might be our last, grateful, fearless and free.
