Louis Paxton grew up making films in Edinburgh, Scotland. An enthusiast of many genres, Louis is committed to building a career as a writer and director of exciting and original drama, comedy, sci-fi, horror, action and musical content for Film and Television. He has always been ambitious in terms of his vision.
After studying at the RSAMD in Glasgow, Louis embarked on an MA at the prestigious NFTS. Louis has made over 15 short films throughout his career so far, ranging from viral Mockumentaries to big budget Musical Comedies which have collectively picked up over 30 festival awards worldwide. His first TV project as writer - Sci-Fi comedy drama, THE SPARE ROOM - was selected for the BAFTA ROCLIFFE drama forum in 2014. This has led Louis to develop a number of genre-splicing projects for both TV and Film alongside the BBC and HARTSWOOD FILMS.
Besides his TV projects, Louis is currently developing feature film projects with FILM LONDON, CREATIVE ENGLAND and CREATIVE SCOTLAND. His latest comedy-drama short, SATAN HAS A BUSHY TAIL was completed as part of FILM LONDON’S ‘London Calling’ scheme and has picked up four best comedy awards during it’s festival run this year.
