Marie Jamora is co-partner of Indie Pop Films -- a full service live-action and stop-motion animation production and post-production house based in Los Angeles and Manila, Philippines. Marie is a director, an editor, a writer, and a producer. She does narrative features, commercials, tv shows, music videos, industrials, new media, and documentaries.
Her latest short film, Isobel, won Honorable Mention for the Digital Bolex Competition at the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival. She has just produced stop-motion animation segments for Lego's The Build Zone (Season 2) and has just directed spots for Maybelline Philippines and Unilever. She co-edited The Death of Superman Lives; What Happened? (2015), which is being distributed by Showtime.
Her first feature, What Isn't There (Ang Nawawala) was Official Selection at the Slamdance Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival, Luang Prabang Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian American Film Festival, South East Asian Film Festival (Singapore), ASEAN International Film Festival & Awards (Malaysia), AMFM Fest (California), Durango Film Festival (Colorado), and the SEA Arts Fest (London). It also won the Audience Award and Best Original Score (New Breed) in the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival. It also won Best Film of 2012 from Rappler.com and won Best Production Design at the adobo Design Awards.
In 2008, she directed and was the showrunner for the first season of Project Runway Philippines.
